In 1974, architects Denis Devaris and Barbara Manteuffel discovered the barren land known as Finca Naranjas and began transforming it into a place of beauty, sustainability, and harmony. Together, they built the first houses, laying the foundation for what would later become a renowned retreat center. Denis continued expanding the project, creating an architectural legacy that remains deeply connected to its natural surroundings.

Later known as Hacienda Cristoforo, the estate grew into a sanctuary for wellness and creative expression. Today, it has returned to its original name, Finca Naranjas, honoring its history and the vision of its founders.
